Ridgeway William Frank, 93, of Winston-Salem, passed away on Saturday, August 15. He was born to Edward George and Matilda Wille Frank on October 3, 1921 in Chicago. He served his country in the Army during World War II and was honorably discharged with the rank of T. Sgt. He was married for 60 years to Lavon Uppling Frank who predeceased him. He spent his career working for AT&T, beginning with Illinois Bell, then Bell Labs, and finally with Western Electric on Reynolda Road. He retired after 42 years with AT&T/Lucient.
Mr. Frank is survived by three sons, Kenneth and wife, Teri of Port St. Lucie, FL, Richard and wife, Lynn, of Yadkinville, and Edward of Advance, five grandchildren, Tiffany, Bradley, Christopher, Jonathan, and Erica, and three great-grandchildren, Bryce, Kai, and Grayson.
Private services will be held at the National Cemetery in Salisbury on Friday. The family request that memorials be made to Hospice of Winston-Salem.
