Ricky Lee Mabe

Mr. Ricky Lee Mabe, 71, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2025. He was born February 22, 1954, in Forsyth County to Clara Belle Kiser Mabe and Frank Mabe Jr. Rick retired from R.J. Reynolds of 39 years where he showed his strong, hard-working ethics. He was a member at Oaklawn Baptist Church and enjoyed playing his guitar there. Rick loved being outdoors, whether it may be working on cars or on camping trips and spending time with his sons. He always had an impactful personality with a big smile, that was contagious to everyone around him. He will be deeply missed to those who knew him. In addition to his mother and father, he was preceded in death by his wife; Brenda Dowell Mabe, son; Christopher Lee Mabe, granddaughter; Kristina Marie Mabe, and brother; Jimmy Mabe. Left to cherish his memories are his 3 sons; Richard Mabe, Michael Brandon (Stacey), Jonathon Mabe (Ashley), a very special sister and best friend; Shirley Carson, brother; Larry Mabe (Linda), and 14 grandchildren; Frankie Mabe, Cristal Combs, Nick Mabe, Sara Belcher, Triston, Owen, and Miley Brandon, Christian and Reece Latham, Braylin Mabe, Caleb Shelton, Jayden, Gracie, and Hayleigh Mabe, and 3 great-grandchildren. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Trellis Supportive Care. A graveside service will be conducted on March 7th at 2:00 at Crestview Memorial Park with Rev. Jay Boyce officiating. A visitation will be held at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall on Thursday, March 6th from 6:00 to 8:00.
