Our beloved brother Ricky Devon Holcomb 64, passed away unexpectedly Monday, February 5, 2024. He was born December 31, 1959 in Forsyth County to Clayton Devon Holcomb and Darlene Barnard Holcomb. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Judy Stijelja. He leaves to cherish many fond memories, two sisters, Pam Simpson (Wayne), Wanda Duncan (Jerry) and one brother Brent Holcomb (Michelle) and many nieces and nephews. Ricky retired from RJ Reynold’s Tobacco Company / RJR Archer. From an early age Ricky loved the sport of baseball while playing for Southwest Forsyth Little League and also as a coach. He was an all out sports enthusiast. He loved pets and all of his former cats and dogs. He had a love for country music from some of the legendary to the most current and especially Jelly Roll and Larry Fleet. The fruits of the Holy Spirit were evident in his life. Ricky was a humble guy with a sweet spirit. To sum it up he lived a life with all of the attributes of Galatians 5:22. His spirit will live on in our hearts. He is now resting in the arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ reunited with members of our broken family chain. As God calls us one by one the chain will link again. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel officiated by Pastor Mitch Monroe of Center Grove Church in Clemmons. Entombment will follow at Westlawn Garden of Memory in Clemmons.
