Belews Creek – Rickey Lynn Hedgecock, 67, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 8, 2021. He was born on May 18, 1954, in Forsyth County to the late Era Lucille Hubbard and Rossie Franklin Hedgecock. Rickey loved spending his spare time fishing. He was an avid sports fan and loved watching football, it was always Green Bay Packers first and Carolina Panthers second. His other favorite was the basketball team of the North Carolina Tar Heels. Rickey cherished his family so much, especially his grandkids, they were his world.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Frankie Hedgecock.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Phyllis Young Hedgecock; his son, Rickey Wayne Hedgecock (wife, Bridgette); his daughter, Misty Hedgecock Anders (husband, Tim); three grandchildren, Kelsey, Cassidy, and Noah; and four siblings, Vickie Shelton, Steve Hedgecock (wife, Debbie), Sherry Clodfelter, and Carol Hill.

A graveside service for Mr. Hedgecock will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at Mt. Gur Cemetery with Pastor Daniel Hawtree officiating. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the Hedgecock family.
