Richard "Rick" Lee Moore

Richard (Rick) Lee Moore, 67, passed away November 1st, 2020 at his home in Kernersville, NC after an eight-year battle with Lewy Body Dementia. Born March 2, 1953, in Greensboro, NC to the late Robert Moore Sr. and Ruth Sweet. He was a graduate of Parkland High School, class of ‘71, and later attended Mars Hill College. Rick was a true entrepreneur, devoting his life to providing for his family. A hard-working, gregarious, and devoted family man that will forever be cherished by his loved ones. Rick was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of (of 32 years) Carol Wood Moore, his son Richard Lee Moore Jr., and three brothers; Everette, Bob & Gerald Moore. Rick is survived by his siblings, Donald, Robin, Roger, and Ronda, and six children to cherish his memory: Alisha, Courtney, Robert, Randall, Russell and Rianna. He was also blessed with 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. His family cannot thank enough Rick’s extremely generous and selfless best friend, confidant, and caregiver, Joy Parrish; who single handily cared for him during the latter years in his struggle with dementia. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, November 9, 2020, at Parklawn Memorial Park with the Rev. R.J. Hammond officiating. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
