Richard Zinsmeyer

Mr. Richard Timothy Zinsmeyer of Advance, NC went home to be with his personal Lord and Savior the morning of May 3, 2022. He was born in Syracuse, NY on January 24, 1943, to the late Roy and Thelma Zinsmeyer. He was a Vietnam Army Veteran. He retired from US Airways. He was an active member of Main Street Baptist Church in Kernersville, NC where he was a choir member and deacon. He was faithfully and lovingly married to Jean Weise Zinsmeyer for 44 years. They were married on August 6, 1977. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Susan Zinsmeyer Armsworthy, two stepdaughters, Brenda Kuhn (James) and Darlene Humphrey (Elon). He also leaves to cherish six grandchildren, Wyatt and Bailie Jo Armsworthy, Stephanie Jennings, Amanda Gall, Ethan and Tyler Humphrey and a great-grandchild Bryson Gall. Two sisters, Janet Hwilka and Judy Smith. Six sisters-in-law, Nancy Swift, Judy Crowe, Susan Cieri, Joanne Majka, Bonnie Rose, and Martha Smith along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Jean Brown. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 9, 2022, at Westlawn Gardens of Memory with Pastor Walter Overman officiating.
