Richard Cromwell Whitaker

Mr. Richard C. Whitaker, 82, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born on November 14, 1933 in Forsyth Co. the son of the late Albert B. Jennings Whitaker and Maude Shoaf Whitaker. Richard was a dedicated member of Bannertown Baptist Church for more than 25 years, and he served as treasurer for many of those years. He shared his love for God through his generosity for people. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Anna Sue Whitaker; one brother, Robert Whitaker, and one sister. He is survived by his brother-in-law, Jeffrey Huie (Brenda); one nephew, Joshua Huie, and several nieces and nephews. There will be a funeral service conducted 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 4, 2016, at Bannertown Baptist Church in Germanton, N.C. with Pastor Don Charles Jr. Officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends, Tuesday, May 3, from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Hayworth-Miller Chapel in Rural Hall, N.C.
