Richard "Rick" W. Thrasher

Mr. Richard ""Rick"" Walter Thrasher, age 63, of Winston-Salem, NC, passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2017. He was born on December 7, 1953, in Philadelphia, PA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth Lydia Anton Thrasher and Walter A. L. Thrasher. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Denise ""Deni"" Thrasher of Winston-Salem; one son, David Andrew Thrasher of Winston-Salem; one daughter, Rachel Lynn Thrasher Dyer (Ethan) of Lowell, NC; one sister, Beverly Ann Thrasher of Winston-Salem; as well as other family and friends. A celebration of life service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, July 22, 2017, at Lutheran Church of the Epiphany, 5220 Silas Creek Parkway, Winston-Salem, NC 27106 with Rev. Doug Kearney officiating. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Forsyth Humane Society, 4881 Country Club Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27104 or FurBabies Animal Rescue, 4209 Nagle Dr., Indian Trail, NC 28079. Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel is assisting the family of Mr. Thrasher.
