Richard Anthony "Tony" Palacios, Jr.

Richard Anthony “Tony” Palacios, Jr., 36, passed away unexpectedly on March 19, 2025. He was born at Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, NC on March 18, 1989. Tony graduated from Glenn High School in 2007 and attended Forsyth Technical Community College. Music was a huge part of Tony’s life, founding and operating House of Clowns Entertainment. Tony will always be remembered for living life to his own beat. He dearly loved his family, his friends and all animals, especially Marco and Nina. Tony also loved working on old cars with his uncle Kevin. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Rose Palacios; his maternal grandfather, Robert Lockhart; his step-father, Jonathan Kang; three uncles, Kenny Steele, Harley Bailey and Randy Lockhart; and an aunt, Delores Lockhart. Tony is survived by his mother, Dr. Sherri Gaither; his father, Richard Palacios, Sr.; a sister, Leigh Ann Palacios (Jacob); his niece and nephew, Maelin and Macon; and his maternal grandmother, Dorothy Lockhart. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and extended family. Funeral services celebrating Tony’s life will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Hayworth-Miller Chapel in Rural Hall. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
