Mr. Richard Earl McClure, 76 of Lewisville, died Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. McClure was born November 25, 1932 in Guilford County, a son of the late Herbert McClure and the late Mary Rose McClure. He was a veteran of the US Coast Guard and the owner and operator of M&M Pump and Tank Service. He was a very active member of Temple Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Allen Joyner; brothers, Herbert McClure, Jr., Carlyle McClure and J. Van McClure. Mr. McClure is survived by his wife of 55 years, Shirley Madren McClure, children, Susan Joyner and husband Gene, Wayne McClure and wife Lisa, Doug McClure, and Sandra McClure; sister, Polly Lindley; brother, Mickey McClure; grandchildren, Jessica McClure, Deana Joyner, and Malissa McClure. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, December 12, 2008 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Dr. Bud Owen officiating. Interment will follow in Westlawn Gardens of Memory.
