Mr. Richard ""Rick"" Jarrell, 59, passed away Friday December 5, 2008 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. He was born in Dayton, Ohio on September 9, 1949 the son of the late Arthur E. Jarrell and Marjorie Stapelton Jarrell. Rick was a loving husband, father and Paw Paw who will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Shelia Tuttle Jarrell of the home, two daughters, Shannon Meadows and husband Joey of Walkertown and Angie Fulk and husband Scott of King, a son, Brad Jarrell and wife Tonya of King, nine wonderful grandchildren, Chris, Brooke and Sloanne Fulk, Danielle and Liticia Meadows and Kalyn, Cole, Bayleigh and Riley Jarrell, two sisters, Sandy Lankford and Kim Jarrell both of King and four brothers, Arthur Jarrell of Rural Hall, Gary Jarrell of Tobaccoville, Denver Jarrell of Kernersville and Randy Jarrell of Tobaccoville. Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 p.m. Monday evening, December 8, 2008 at Hayworth-Miller Chapel in Rural Hall with Pastor Skip Furrow officiating. The family will receive friends directly following the service. A committal service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at Westmoreland Family Cemetery in Rural Hall. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to; American Cancer Society, 1900 S. Hawthorne Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
