Richard Allen Fulp, Sr.

Richard Allen Fulp, Sr., 76, of Madison, NC. passed away Thursday December 27, 2012 at the Walnut Cove Health Care Center. Mr. Fulp was born July 5, 1936 in Walkertown, NC to the late Aaron and Beulah Whitley Fulp. He was retired from RJR Tobacco Co with 23 years of service and was loved playing Bluegrass Music. His specialty was playing the Dobero and was just as skilled with all guitars. Surviving to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 56 years, Shelby Still Fulp of the home; two sons, Richard Fulp, Jr. of Walnut Cove, NC, Michael Fulp and wife Debbie of Archdale, NC; three grandcildren, Andrew Fulp and Tiffany Fulp both of Archdale, Summer Fulp of Kernersville; 5 great-grandchildren; Michaela, Morgan, Camren, Meredith, Serenity, and a brother Elmer Fulp of Walkertown, NC. A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 pm Monday, December 31, 2012 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor Roger Bailey officiating. Interment will follow in Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Sunday, December 30, 2012 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
