Richard Lee Dixon

Mr. Richard Lee Dixon, 81, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born January 27, 1934 in Forsyth County to the late Robert Lee Dixon and Nannie Owens Dixon. In addition to his parents, Mr. Dixon was preceded in death by one son, Randy Dale Dixon; two sisters, Minnie Montgomery and Ruth Hoots; and two brothers, Robert Gray Dixon and John William ""Chick"" Dixon. Mr. Dixon is survived by his wife of 61 years, Shirley Redmond Dixon; two sons, Ricky Lee Dixon and Dwayne Keith Dixon; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one sister, Geneva Terry. A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 12 at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Pastor Rick Hudson officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown.
