Mr. Richard “Dick” Wesley Stover, 74, a resident of Boone, passed away Monday, September 23, 2024 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Dick was born on April 14, 1950 to Richard Odell and Beatrice Redner Stover. He was a graduate of Grimsley High School in Greensboro, NC then attended Lees McRae College and Appalachian State University. He owned and operated Brushy Fork Wood Products for more than 50 years. He loved music and played the drums for many years. He also enjoyed golfing and boating. However, above all these things, he loved spending time with his family especially his three grandsons. Dick will be missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Amy Ramsey (Joby) of Ohio; his sister, Debbie Troxler (John) of Greensboro; grandsons, Midian, Hesli, and Omree Ramsey; and many cousins and extended family.

A gathering for family and friends to remember Dick's life will be held in the chapel at Lakeview Memorial Park, 3600 N O. Henry Blvd, (Hwy 29), Greensboro, NC 27405, on Friday, October 25, 2024 at 11:00AM. Graveside interment will immediately follow.  

In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made to WeCAN (Western Crisis Assistance Network) 160 Den-Mac Drive, Boone, NC 28607.

Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel is assisting the family.
