Rhonda Gay Shumate Mabe

Mrs. Rhonda Gay Shumate Mabe, 57, of Winston-Salem died Tuesday, February 4, 2013 at Wake Forest Baptist Health. She was born January 22, 1956 in Forsyth County, the daughter of the late, Clyde Lee and Pansy Newsome Shumate. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Lee Mabe, a brother, Perry Lee Shumate and a sister, Robin Sain. Survivors include her boyfriend Barry Parrish; two daughters, Tina Allen and significant other Marcella Lowery, and Tanya Mabe and husband, Don Taylor; her adopted daughter, Angela Tuttle; one son, Dustin Michael Mabe and wife, Yvette; ten grandchildren, Amber, Tiffany, Kayla, Tony Jr.,Tristen, Danny, Breanna, Kaytlynn, Marilyn and Evaeh; one sister, Valerie Shumate; a special niece, Jessica Bullard; and a special friend, Michelle. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home .The funeral service will be conducted Saturday at 2:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor Robert Hutchens officiating.
