Rex Jennings

Mr. Rex Dale Jennings, 86, of Lewisville, passed away August 25, 2021, at Trinity Elms in Clemmons surrounded by family. He was born June 14, 1935 in Lewisville, NC to the late Gwyn M. and Melba S. Jennings. Rex was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and never met a stranger. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Martha B. Jennings. He was retired from Sears & Roebuck Company, where he worked for 35 years. Upon retirement, Rex turned a hobby into a business, growing and selling Christmas trees at Rex’s Christmas Trees in Lewisville. He was preceded in death by one brother, Foy H. Jennings, on November 24, 1999. Rex is survived by two sons, Mark D. (Kelia) Jennings, of Lewisville, and Neal A. Jennings (Coral Shaw), of East Bend; one sister-in-law, Carrie M. Jennings; two grandchildren, Alex Jennings and Taylor Jennings; three step-grandchildren, Michael Taylor, Meagan Taylor, and Joshua (Lauren) White; and two step-great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Taylor and Cayden Taylor. A graveside service will be conducted at Forsyth Memorial Park on Monday, August 30th at 10:00am with Clarence Huie officiating.
