Reverend Richard Everhart

Reverend Richard Everhart, born on June 24, 1923, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 2, 2011. The son of Riley and Frankie Everhart, he served as the pastor of various churches in the Piedmont of North Carolina. He is survived by his wife of sixty-seven years, Lorene Bowman Everhart; two daughters, Margaret Everhart Wooten (Chuck) and Jan Everhart Byrum (Gary); three grandchildren, Charles Wooten (Heather), Craig Wooten (Abby), and Charity Byrum; and four great grandchildren, Ellie, Ava, Riley, and Charlie Grace Wooten. A funeral service will be conducted by the Reverend Gary Byrum and the Reverend Charlie Martin at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 5, 2011, at Calvary Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens on High Point Road. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, October 4, 2011, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
