Revene Edwards Flinchum

Mrs. Ravene Edwards Flinchum 90, died February 21, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born on September 24, 1922 in Alleghany County to Garnett and Cleo Edwards. She was preceded in death by her husband A.E. Flinchum, Jr. and one sister Edith Edwards Carpenter. She graduated from City Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. And High Point College. She retired from RJR-Nabisco Medical Department in 1983. She was a volunteer at Contact and a docent at Reynolda House. She was a member of First Christian Church and the DAR, Old North State Chapter. Surviving are her son Ronald Flinchum and his wife Sherri of Westfield, NC; one niece Judy Carpenter Wiles and her husband Jerry of Westfield, NC, and their children Allen and Pamela Wiles. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 AM Saturday February 23, 2013 at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens with Pastor Mike Simpson officiating. The family will receive friends from 10-11 AM Saturday morning at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Charity of the donor's choice.
