Reva Barbour Mahoney

A memorial service will be announced later at Jordan Christian Fellowship in Sophia for Reva Barbour Mahoney, 87 a long-time Beckley resident who died Friday, October 28, 2011 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. For a number of years before retiring Reva was an operating room nurse at the Appalachian Regional Hospital in Beckley. The last several years she had lived with a son before moving into assisted living at Heritage Woods in Winston-Salem. Her husband Irvin preceded her in death in 1993, and her oldest son Rudd died January 7th, 2010. She is survived by sons Dennis and his wife Joanne of Prescott, AZ, and Allen (Bob) and his wife Mary of Winston-Salem, NC, a daughter-in-law Peggy Mahoney of Yorktown. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren; Gary, Kirk, Robin, Tim and Melisa all of the Tidewater area of Virginia, Jeff of Montgomery, Alabama, Glenn of Edmonds, Washington, Sean and Matt of Winston-Salem. There are 14 great grandchildren who survive her. For those who wish to honor the life of Reva B. Mahoney, please remember the people who made her life more enjoyable in the final months and days.
