Rev. Arnold Gene ""A.G."" Wall, 78, died on October 9, 2009. He was the husband of Betty Sue Wall. A.G. was born August 19, 1931 in Winston-Salem, NC. He was the son of Robert Masten Wall and Lillie Belle Wall. He was in the U.S. Navy for two years. In 1958 he was called to preach. He pastored three churches for a total of 18 years. After pastoring these churches, he moved to Greenville, SC in 1978 and began to travel and preach as an Independent Baptist Evangelist. He was still active in his work until his death. Surviving are his wife Betty, one daughter, Denise Snyder and husband Mike of Pinnacle, NC; a son Rev. Randy Wall and wife Pam of Winston-Salem, NC; a son Phillip Wall and wife Tammi of South Carolina. Also surviving is one brother Bobby Wall and sister Bonnie Cox, and sister Margaret Landreth; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Monday, October 12, 2009 at Freedom Baptist Church in Rural Hall with the Rev. John T. Byerly, Rev. Melvin Aiken, Rev. Lewis Lawson, Rev. Ed Yeoman, and Rev. Raleigh Nunnally. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Sunday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
