Rev. Roger Craig Waldie

Rev. Roger Craig Waldie Our beloved pastor, the Rev. Craig Waldie went peacefully to be with his Lord on August 25, 2008. He was born on Nov. 3, 1941 to Walter B, Jr. and Lois Adams Waldie in Dallas, TX. Craig was Preceded in death by his father Walter, brother Mickey Waldie, and wife Barbara Finley Waldie. He is survived by wife Priss Waldie, mother Lois Waldie, brother Walter B. Waldie, III, sister Toby King. Eight children, 21 grandchildren and many beloved family members. He attended Adamson High School, Arlington State College, Criswell Bible College and earned his real estate broker's license in 2005. Craig was founder and president of Waldie Custom Homes in Richardson from 1976 until 2001, when he was called into full-time ministry in North Carolina. He was full of life, charisma, fun and original humor. His most rewarding work was serving his congregation and community at Swaims Baptist Church in Hamptonville, NC. . He was an active member at First Baptist Church, Dallas, most of his life, where he joyfully taught Sunday school and helped lead a weekly home bible study in Richardson for more than 25 years. He preached at the Dallas Life Foundation several years. He was a past board member of both KCBI Radio Network and Criswell College. Craig was very generous man who always shared his blessings in life with individuals and numerous Christian endeavors domestically and abroad. He will long be remembered by all those he touched with his genuine concern, compassion and generous gifts. The service will be held at Swaims Baptist Church on Wed, Aug. 27. He will lie in state from 1 -2 PM and the service will follow from 2-3 officiated by the Rev. Daniel Musser with internment in the church cemetery. Haworth-Miller, Silas Creek Parkway is serving the family.
