Clemmons- Raymond T. Troutman, Jr. (Ray), son of Raymond and Edith Reich Troutman, was born in Forsyth County, NC on June 25, 1928. He died May 27, 2011 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Surviving him is his wife, Betty Cockrell; two sons and their wives, Craig and Anna, Mark and Anna; stepson and wife, Tres and Dawn Fordham; step-daughter and husband, Ann and Alex Mebane; two grandsons and wives, Andrew and Ginny, John and Kelly; two granddaughters, Mari Taylor and Carolyn; six step-grandchildren, Jay, Alexander, Mary Beth, Katie, Hannah, and Mollie; three brothers and their wives, Billie and Peggy, Jerry and Brona, and Gerry and Dora. Preceding Mr. Troutman in death are his wife, Marion Bender, a son, Ben, his parents, and four siblings, Betty Norman, Catherine Williamson, Bobby and Terry. Mr. Troutman served for 37 years as a Moravian Church pastor. He served in N.C. (Messiah, Wachovia Arbor, Moravia, Mt. Airy Grace, Calvary, and Kernersville) and he also served the church in Gnadenhutten, Ohio, Winter Springs, FL, Westland, Michigan, and in Bethlehem, PA. After retirement he served for 12 years as minister of visitation at New Philadelphia Moravian Church in Winston-Salem, NC. Mr. Troutman is a graduate of Gray High School, Moravian College, and Moravian Theological Seminary. Mr. Troutman was a member of Calvary Moravian Church. There will be a graveside funeral service in God's Acre at 1:00pm, Saturday, June 4, 2011 and a memorial service at Calvary Moravian Church at 2:00pm followed by a reception in the Fellowship Hall. The Rt. Rev. Lane Sapp will officiate the service.
