Rev. Ronald D. Moss

Rev. Ronald Delano Moss, 72, of Advance passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem. He was born September 7, 1936 in Genesee Co., MI to Jesse Burton and Leolia Thelma Betts Moss. Rev. Moss was a Senior Pastor for 43 years. He served numerous Nazarene churches throughout Michigan, Indiana, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Rev. Moss retired from Mifflinburg Church of Nazarene in Mifflinburg, PA. He is preceded in death by two sisters, Naomi Rouse and Marjorie McCoy and a brother, Jesse Moss. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Marilyn Suski Moss; a daughter, Debra Krell and husband Wayne of Mifflinburg, PA; three sons, Ron Michael Moss and wife Joanne of Columbus, OH, Tim Moss and wife Crystal of Mocksville and Calvin Moss and wife Amy of Baltimore, MD; 10 grandchildren, Rebekah and Elizabeth Moss, Laura, Luke, and Jenn Krell, Tim Jr., Matt, and Jon Moss, Ashley and Jordan Moss and five siblings, Phyllis Jean Bontrager, George Moss, Delbert Moss, Leolia Patricia Rouse and Wayne Moss. A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 am Saturday at the Mifflinburg Church of the Nazarene in Mifflinburg, PA with the Dr. Dan M. Geeding and Rev. Wayne Krell officiating. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6-8pm at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel in Winston-Salem, NC and on Friday evening from 6-8 pm at Mifflinburg Church of the Nazarene in Mifflinburg, Pennsylvania. A graveside service will be conducted 11:00 am Monday, November 24, 2008 at Montrose Township Cemetery in Montrose, Michigan. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the Church of the Nazarene, Compassionate Ministries,17001 Prairie Star Pkwy, Lenexa, KS 66220.
