Rev. Larry Dale Morris

Rev. Larry Dale Morris, 61, of Lexington passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at his residence. He was born May 9, 1948 in Galax, VA to Henry Ardell and Helen Lorine Burcham Morris. Rev. Morris pastored two churches before going overseas to Spain (Valencia, Barcelona) for 14 years. He was involved with church planting and leadership development. He was in England for 4 years mentoring English church leadership. He was an avid ham radio operator. He was employed with the Corning Cable System. He was preceded in death by his father. Surviving are his wife, Pauline Arnold Morris; his mother, H. Lorine Morris; two sons, Chad Andrew (Kristina) and Kevin Paul (Ashley); one brother, Derek Shane, all of Winston-Salem; four grandchildren, Scott, Michael, Gabriela and William. A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 7 at Redeemer Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Hunter Dochery officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday from 1-3 p.m. prior to the service.
