Rev. Levy A. Goodrich, Jr.

Rev. Levy Alexander Goodrich, Jr., 74, passed away September 19, 2013 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born September 3, 1939 to Levy Alexander Goodrich, Sr. and Kathryn McKinney Goodrich in Jacksonville, FL. Levy was a dedicated and loving husband of 54 years to his bride, Evelyn W. Goodrich. Levy and Evelyn had 3 children: Debora, Wayne and Gary who collectively added 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren to the family. Levy had a 20+ year military career in the US Air Force that included a tour of duty in Vietnam. While in the military, Levy earned a B.S. Degree and later earned a Master of Divinity degree from Southeastern Seminary. Following his Air Force career, Levy continued employment in other careers including insurance sales with Pilot Life, Nursing Home Administration at various facilities, and church ministry at several churches. Levy retired as pastor of Robinhood Road Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Williams Goodrich; 3 children, Debora Rose Goodrich, Wayne Levy Goodrich (Lisa), Gary Ray Goodrich (Amy); a sister, Nancy Goodrich Locke; a brother, Keith Goodrich; 8 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, September 30, 2013 at College Park Baptist Church, 1701 Polo Rd., with Rev. Ramon Smith officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. Inurnment will be at Salisbury National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Kate B.
