Rev. Calvin Leon Craddock, 75, of Winston-Salem died Monday, March 17, 2014 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born July 26, 1938 in Elizabeth City, NC the son of the late, Joseph Leon and Edna Hope White Craddock. Rev. Craddock was a member of Salem Baptist Church where he served as Organist. He was a graduate of Central High School in Elizabeth City and received a double major from East Carolina College. He did graduate work at Bob Jones University, pre-med at Palm Beach Jr. College and completed a music composition degree from Salem College. He was Founder and President of Metro Nursing, Inc. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Daryl Craddock. Survivors include his wife, Judy Mooring Craddock of the home; two sons, Stephen Craddock of Midway and Michael Craddock of Winston-Salem; two grandsons, Landon and Nicholas Craddock; one sister, Marilyn Luttrell of Greenville, SC and a number of nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be conducted Friday at 2:00 PM at Salem Baptist Church with Dr. Howard L. Wilburn officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church from 12:30 until 1:45 PM. Memorials may be made to Salem Baptist Church, 429 S Broad Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27101.
