Rev. John Caldwell Calhoun

Rev. John Caldwell Calhoun, 89, of Winston-Salem, passed away on February 21, 2017 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. He was born on August 18, 1927 in Trumbull, CT to John Caldwell Calhoun, Sr. and Cynthia Cole. He was a member of Konnoak Baptist Church for numerous years. He worked the mission field for the International Mission Board for 26 years. He was preceded in death by his lovely wife, Lois Vaietos Calhoun; son, Michael A. Calhoun; brother, Peter B. Calhoun; Sister, Julia S. Snell. He is survived by Sons, John C. Calhoun, III, David L. Calhoun and Matthew C. Calhoun; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 pm Saturday, February 25, 2017, at Konnoak Baptist Church with Rev. John Bishop officiating. Interment will follow at Westlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
