Rena Carter Knight

HIGH POINT-- Mrs. Rena Carter Knight, 75, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, May 12, 2013 at her home surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Rena was born on August 14, 1937 in Forsyth County to the late Bernard and Viola Rice Carter. Rena was a devoted Christian and attended Kernersville Wesleyan Church. She was a wonderful mother and nana. In addition to her parents, Rena was preceded in death by her husband, Manley Grady Knight. Surviving are two daughters, Sonja Mitchell and Sheila Knight; five grandchildren, Summer and Zoe Alexander, Chase Mitchell, Cole and Dara Goode; four sisters, Betty Holland, Mary Ellen Lawson, Shirley McBride, and Alice Carter; and four brothers, William, Willard, Charles and Ricky Carter. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory.
