Remedios Bagtas

Mrs. Remedios Vergara Bagtas, 92, passed away on Friday, June 5, 2020. She was born on October 21, 1927 in the Philippines to Pascual Vergara and Juliana Braga Vergara. Remedios was very outgoing. She enjoyed arts, crafts, singing, dancing, cooking, and scrapbooking family photographs. Remedios was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary in Patterson, New Jersey. Everyone who had the privilege to know her, will miss her dearly. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jose Bagtas. Surviving are her children, Ruben, Luz, Eduardo, Evelyn, Liberato, and Reynaldo; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 5 sisters. A graveside service will be held at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa, New Jersey.

It breaks our hearts to share with you the passing of our mother. She was a truly special person who held our family together through many years of ups and downs. We apologize for posting the news this way and are saddened that given the circumstances we cannot grieve together. She was the world to us, and we pray she is now with our father watching over us from heaven in love as always.
