Reginald Kahill

Mr. Reginald Wayne Kahill, 89, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2023, at Forsyth Medical Center. Reginald was born in Catawba County to the late Donald Kahill and Gwendola Poovey Kahill on May 29, 1933. Reginald served his country with the United States Army. After returning, he attended Lenoir-Rhyne College where he graduated with a degree in Business Administration. Reginald stayed and worked various jobs in the Hickory and Lenoir area before relocating his family to Winston-Salem. He then worked for RJ Reynolds as a tax accountant, also other employers including Cannon and Company and teaching at Forsyth Technical College for 10 years. He was a long-time member of Augsburg Lutheran Church, enjoying his church family with his wife. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Michael Kahill. He is survived by his loving wife, Kay Kahill; daughter, Angela Bodenhamer (Greg); granddaughter, Katie Landress (Bryan); daughter-in-law, Sharon Kahill; brothers, Ronald Kahill and Daniel Kahill (Daphne). A memorial service will be held 4:00 PM Saturday, February 11, 2023, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Paul Wollner officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior.
