Regina Winfree Kivett

Regina Winfree Kivett, longtime resident of Lewisville, NC, passed away peacefully on Monday January 27, 2025, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home after years of battling COPD. Regina was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. 

She was born November 30, 1943 in Portsmouth, Virginia, to the late Gilbert and Marie Winfree. Regina was for the most part a stay at home mother but over the years worked with several mothers morning out programs where she got to enjoy her love for kids. 

Regina graduated from Peace College in Raleigh. Over the years she enjoyed traveling, but one place you could always find her was at the beach. She was a very active and loving grandmother to 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, who kept her going.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 47 years, Dohn Kivett. Surviving are her two children, David Kivett (Tanya) of Lewisville and Karen Jackson of Pompano Beach; four grandchildren, Casey Kivett, Grayson Kivett, Haley Alegre, and Connor Cardwell; and one great grandchild, Tatum McConkey. 

A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at Lewisville United Methodist Church with Pastor Paul Brown and Rev. Neill Shaw officiating. The family will receive friends for a short period in the fellowship hall after the service.
