Mrs. Regina Helen Indorf, 99, a resident of Winston-Salem, NC, formerly of Memphis, TN, passed away Friday, July 5, 2024 in Brighton Gardens of Winston-Salem.
Born in Baltimore, Regina, lovingly known as Mimi, made Memphis her home for over 50 years. After retiring as an IRS clerk, she spent her time volunteering for the Orpheum Theater, WKNO, and St. Francis Hospital. She was a member of Colonial Park United Methodist Church. Regina lived a full life. She had travelled the world but was always happiest whenever she was surrounded by her family and friends, preferably feeding them. She was truly a selfless person who went above and beyond to help those in need. Regina was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice “Buddy” Indorf. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Melanie McCabe of Winston-Salem, NC; Karen Reid (Randy) of Kingston, TN and Boca Grande, FL; David Indorf of Dallas, TX; and Laura Marshall (Alfred) of Charlotte, NC; eight grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
A private memorial service will be held. In lieu of flowers, please direct memorials to The Orpheum Theater through its website, www.orpheum-memphis.com, WKNO through its website, www.wknofm.org, and/or the charity of the donor’s choice.
The family would like to extend its heartfelt thanks to the staff at Brighton Gardens of Winston-Salem for their loving care of Mrs. Regina.
