Rebecca Ziglar

Mrs. Rebecca McConnell Ziglar, 60, of Winston-Salem passed away Sunday, July 18, 2010 at her home. She was born October 12, 1949 in Anderson County, SC to James Carey and Ruby Rumsey McConnell. Mrs. Ziglar was a member of Pinedale Christian Church, formerly a member of Konnoak Moravian Church, serving as a diener and president of the Women's Provincial Association for two years. She was also a member of the PTA at Bolton School and treasurer in 2004. She was preceded in death by her father, and brother, Phillip Marion McConnell. Surviving are her husband, William Henry Ziglar; one daughter, Tonya Hart and husband Michael of Winston-Salem; two sons, Michael Brantley and Billy Brantley, both of Augusta, GA; her mother of Anderson, SC; one stepson, Richard Ziglar and wife Peggy of Tulsa, OK; thirteen grandchildren, Becca Hart, Katie Suttles, Casey Brantley, Kelsie Brantley, Nicholas Brantley, McKenzile Brantley, Quinten Brantley, Dustin Brantley, Jackson Brantley, Julia Sullivan, Vance Ziglar, Stephen Brantley, and Joshua Brantley; two great grandchildren, Savannah Sullivan and Chad Sullivan; two brothers, James Carey McConnell of Abbeyville, SC and Jesse Wayne McConnell of Anderson, SC. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 21 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with the Rev. Bill McKenzie officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery.
