Rebecca Stephenson

Mrs. Rebecca Nancy Hockaday Stephenson, 88, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2018 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born April 6, 1929 in Harnett County to the late Nathan Vanderbilt Hockaday and Mamie Alice Tucker Hockaday. In addition to her parents Rebecca was preceded in death by her husband, Julian Stephenson Sr.; a daughter Joy Whittington; and a granddaughter Lori. She is survived by five children: Gail Stephenson, Ron Stephenson (Judy), Debbie Prim (Mike), Julian Stephenson Jr. (Kim), and Jay Stephenson (Le'Anna); 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and four siblings. A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at the Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Rod Sharpe officiating. The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM Tuesday, January 16 at the funeral home.
