Rebecca 'Pete' Church Jarvis

Mrs. Rebecca ""Pete"" Church Jarvis, 79, of Winston-Salem, passed away Monday, May 28, 2012 at Yadkin County Nursing Center. She was born July 15, 1932 in Yadkin County to John L. and Bertie S. Church. Mrs. Jarvis was a member of Bixby Church of the Living God where she served as church treasurer. She loved all her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Jarvis; one son, Johnny Allison, Sr and wife Shelia.; and one daughter, Sandra Jarvis. Surviving are one daughter, Becky Phillips and husband Thomas of Winston-Salem; one son, Terry Jarvis and wife Judy of Tobaccoville; 12 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild; two sisters; and two brothers; Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 2 at Bixby Church of the Living God in Advance with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, June 1 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
