Rebecca Florence Miller Berrier

Rebecca Florence Miller Berrier, 83, of Lexington died Thursday, December 17, 2009 at Lexingtonmemorial hospital. She was born Jan 18, 1926 in Davidson County to Clarence Paul and Odessa Florence Michael Miller who proceeded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, David Elwood Hege. Survivors include her husband of 68 years, George Washington Berrier whom she married on November 2, 1941; her daughters, Barbara Kay Hege and Linda Gail Brewer husband Don Brewer; her grandchildren , Rebecca Ann Young, Michael Elwood Hege, Tammy Dean Boone and Donna Kay McKinnish; her great-grandchildren , David White, Brandon Hege, Ashley Boone, Kevin White, Megan Shafer, Alex Shafer, Thomas McKinnish, Ryan Hege, Austin Young; her brother, Clarence Miller Jr. and wife June; and his sisters, Sue Ward and Betty Mock. Rebecca's family and church were very important to her. She moved her membership from Shiloh Methodist Church to Enterprise Moravian Church on March 29, 1942. She was an active Member of Enterprise Moravian Church. She was an active member of the Women's Fellowship where she always helped make chicken pies. Lifetime member of the Mission Society of the Moravian Church. She worked 20 years at Burlington Mills Textile and 10 years at Stephen's Photo, Inc. Visitation will be at Hayworth-Miller on Silas Creek Parkway in Winston-Salem on Sunday from 6-8pm. The funeral service will be at 11:00am Monday at Enterprise Moravian Church and burial will follow in the church graveyard. Rev. Arkon Stewart and Rev. Keith White will officiate. Memorials may be given to the New Fellowship Hall Fund of Enterprise Moravian Church, 2733 Enterprise Road, Lexington, NC 27295.
