Mrs. Rebecca Kaye Spainhour Belcher, 68, passed away July 10, 2014 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. She was born on March 4, 1946 in Forsyth County to Oscar Branson Spainhour and Vallie Warden Spainhour. Mrs. Belcher was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church. She graduated from King High School and retired from Piedmont Federal. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband of 38 years, A.G. Belcher. She is survived by two sons, Brian (Scarlett) Barr, Brad (Lynn) Barr; one daughter, Laura Belcher (David Blankenship); eleven grandchildren, Tyler and Braeden Barr, David and Everett Kiser, Chris Allred, Ashley Cox, Tyler Guynn, Brandy, David, and Kevin Blankenship; 4 great grandchildren; two sisters, Brenda (Larry) Custer, Vicki (Mike) Warren. A funeral service will be held 3:00PM Sunday at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Rev. Paul Norman officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be to Rheumatology Fellowship Research, Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center office of Development and Alumni Affairs, P.O. Box 571021, Winston-Salem, NC 27157-1021.
