Rebecca Hubbard Barrow

Clarksville, VA-Rebecca ""Becky"" Hubbard Barrow, 65, passed away Monday, August 10, 2009 at Meadowview Terrace, Clarksville, VA. She was born October 23, 1943 in Forsyth Co. to the late Herman Allen Hubbard, Sr. and Edna Moses Hubbard. Becky was a member of Freedom Wesleyan Church. She retired from Winston Salem Forsyth Co. School system. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by, two brothers, Reginald Hubbard and Allen Hubbard; and one brother-in-law, Harold Cranfill. Surviving are her husband, William A. ""Bill"" Barrow of Nelson, VA; two daughters, Karen B. Hawthorne and husband Robert, Jr., Susan B. Shelton and husband Tommy; three grandchildren, Chappell Hawthorne (Nikki), Thomas Shelton, and Lauren Shelton; one great-grandson, Riley Hawthorne; one brother, Roger Hubbard (Alice); one sister, Pattie H. Cranfill. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am Thursday, August 13, 2009 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel with the Rev. J. McCray Holmes officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Gur Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 pm Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Gideons Memorial Bible @ Forsyth SouthEast Camp, 931-B S. Main St., #217, Kernersville, NC 27284.
