Mrs. Reba Winfrey Noah, 89, of Winston-Salem, passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2022. Reba was born in Forsyth County on February 12, 1933, to the late William Early Winfrey and Rosa Lee Hutchins Winfrey. She was a longtime member of Faith Chapel in Winston-Salem, where she served as organist for 57 years. Reba worked in the textile industry for Sara Lee, retiring after numerous years of service. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Louis Noah; and six sisters and two brothers. Reba is survived by her daughter, Melinda Noah of Winston-Salem; one brother, Ronald Winfrey (Pam) of Fayetteville, NC; a nephew who was like a son to her, Ken Winfrey of Winston-Salem; numerous other nephews and nieces; and two fur baby grandchildren, Queenie and Zoe. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Mr. Ira Douglas and Rev. Eric Bradshaw officiating. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. The family will receive friends from 12:45 pm until 1:45 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. The family is accepting flowers or memorial contributions may be made to Forsyth Humane Society, 4881 Country Club Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27104. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff at Trinity Glen for the compassionate care they provided to Reba.
