Reba Blackburn Boone

On April 20, 2011 Reba Blackburn Boone went home to be with her Heavenly Father. She was surrounded by her loving family and friends. Reba was born on January 8, 1934 in Wilkes County. She will be met in heaven by her father, John Sherman Blackburn, mother, Beatrice Woodie, two brothers, Thomas Gary and Marion Rex, and sister Ruth Blackburn Greene. She will be truly missed by her brother, Ralph Sherman Blackburn, husband, William Robert ""J.R."" Boone, of the Oaks at Forsyth, son Mickey (Dru) Boone, daughter, Pam (Billy) Parrish, two step daughters, Betty Ann Hatton and Sharon Lynn Sheets. God blessed her with three special grandchildren, Aaron (Craig) Matijow, Chad Boone and Morgan Parrish, whom loved her dearly. She will be remembered by her step grandchildren, Gerald Jr., Angie and Michael. Reba was also blessed with a loving niece, Libby (George) Pope, nephew Terry (Hilda and Shane) Greene and very special friends, Margie Perkins and Pat Reilly. To know Reba was to love her. Heaven has a beautiful new angel. According to her wishes, a graveside service will be held on Friday April 22, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Eric Horton officiating.
