R B Fox

Kernersville - R B Fox, 96 years old, passed away on April 24, 2022.  He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Velma Norton Fox. He was born in Buncombe County, NC on April 7, 1926, to Robert Lee Fox, Sr  and Cara Gregory Fox.  He was a World War II Army Veteran. Mr. Fox attended Northwoods Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Lee Fox, Jr, and survived by a brother, Kermit Fox.

Mr. Fox is survived by his children, Steve Fox (Paula), Pam Stancil (Reid), Penny Fox (Shane Earley), and Lesa Fox.  He is also survived by five grandchildren, Kyle Fox, Deric Freeman, Joel Fox, Lauren Freeman Teague, and Gus Fox and three great grandchildren, Layla Fox, Logan Fox, and Lilly Teague.

After serving his country, Mr. Fox was employed at R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company for 32 years, until his retirement in 1983.  He enjoyed his retirement spending time with his family and fishing in the mountains and at the coast of North Carolina.

At the request of Mr. Fox, there will be no formal services. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
