Raymond Sutcliffe, Jr.

Mr. Raymond Sampson Sutcliffe, Jr. 84, of Winston-Salem, passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2022. He was born June 3, 1938 in Fanwood, New Jersey to Raymond S. Sutcliffe, Sr. and Doris Kinne Sutcliffe. Mr. Sutcliffe was a veteran who served in the U.S. Army. He was a volunteer with the South Fork Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the Piedmont Pioneer Masonic Lodge. Raymond was self employed doing construction and grading for many years. He was a city boy who loved the country life collecting and restoring antique farm tractors. He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandson, Ryan Wood. Surviving are his wife, Katie Sutcliffe; a daughter, Caroline Wood (Randy); a son, Raymond “Ray” Sutcliffe, III (Lisa) and three grandchildren, Sydney Sutcliffe, Ashley Sutcliffe and Maggie Wood. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at Forsyth Memorial Park with Tim Bralley officiating. The family will receive friends following the graveside service at the cemetery.
