Raymond Stuart

Mr. Raymond Wallace “Wally” Stuart, 81, passed away on August 25, 2022, at Stone Springs Hospital Center in Dulles, VA.  Wally graduated from Deer Park High School in Cincinnati, Ohio, completed his bachelor's degree at the University of Cincinnati and went on to serve as an officer in US Army Special Forces, a "Green Beret."  He completed his service as a Captain.  He then enrolled in University of Cincinnati Law School. He practiced law with the United States Information Agency/ State Department and retired after a long and successful career in the Executive Service. Wally and his family attended Kirkwood Presbyterian Church in West Springfield, Virginia.  Wally was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Marie Woodard Stuart; and son, Raymond Warren Stuart. Survivors include his daughter, Laura Reidenbach and husband, Col. Gary Reidenbach of Alexandria, VA; a daughter-in-law, Dawn Wiener of Chantilly, VA; three grandchildren, Lyndsy-Marie Carson and husband, SFC Joel Carson; Madeline and Emma Reidenbach; and two great grandchildren, Cordylia and Niklaus Carson. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM Sunday, September 4, 2022, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Francis Smith officiating. Interment will be in Oaklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM before the service at the funeral home.
