Raymond Scott Kiger

KIGER - PILOT MOUNTAIN
Raymond ""Scott"" Kiger, 43, of Pilot Mountain, NC who was born on August 29, 1970 died on the evening of July 24, 2014. Scott passed away at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem, NC after a battle with cancer. He was comforted by his loving family. Scott was cared for at home until his last 24 hours.

His son Noah was the light of his life. Scott and Noah were able to spend very special time together and make long-lasting memories. Scott was an avid sports fan. He graduated from Mount Airy High School and NC State University. He was employed by RJ Reynolds and most recently self-employed. He was a member of Pilot Mountain United Methodist Church.

Scott was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ray and Lola Simmons and Omar and Lola Kiger. Scott is survived by his parents, Joel and Martha Kiger; his son, Noah Kiger age 14; his brother and sister-in-law, Joel and Lori Kiger.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 27 at Pilot Mountain Cemetery with Dr. Neil Routh officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Hospice & Palliative Care Center located at 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103 or King Moravian Church located at 228 West Dalton Road, King, NC 27021.
