Mr. Raymond Charles Catron, 52, passed away suddenly on Monday, March 29, 2021.
Raymond was born June 17, 1968 in Massachusetts to Leslie “Les” Catron and Gail Capen Catron. His first part of his life he grew up in Worcester, followed to moving to Spanishburg, WV where he graduated from Spanishburg High School in 1987. He relocated to Winston-Salem, NC in 1993 where he was employed at Microfibers INC., followed by Fairchild INC where he then took a position with the City of Winston-Salem. He was a long-time employee of the City of Winston-Salem, serving as Utilities Plan Examiner. In his free time, Raymond was a huge fan of all sports, being a diehard sport fan of the Atlanta Braves, Boston Bruins, Auburn Football and the New York Jets. Raymond was kindhearted, quick witted, caring and always was the voice of reason, sometimes. He loved making people smile, and he loved his work family and his so many friends. But always his family came first, including his absolute devotion to his children, Maddux and Camdyn.
In addition to his father, Raymond was preceded in death by his uncle, David Charles Capen, mother-in-Law, Diana Mirabile, and father-in-Law, Darryl Mills, and brother-in-law, Darryl Lynn Mills.
Raymond is survived by his wife, Chanda Catron; children, Charles Maddux Catron and Camdyn Diana Catron of the home; mother, Gail Capen Catron of Matoka, WV; and brother, Jeff Catron and wife Amy of Bluefield, WV; stepmother, Mildred Catron of Princeton, WV; father-in-law, Dr. Charles & Cathy Mirabile; and mother-in-Law Ginger & Ray Mills of Camp Creek, WV, whom he loved dearly.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, April 3, 2021 at 11 AM at Westlawn Gardens of Memory.
