Mr. Raymond Edward Brown, 76 of Darwick Rd. passed away Saturday, May 30, 2009 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Mr. Brown was born in Iredell County on November 27, 1932 the son of the late Solomon Levi and Pearl Swaim Brown. He was a member of Immanuel- New Eden Moravian Church and was a member of Forsyth Lodge # 707 A.F. and A.M. Mr. Brown retired from the U. S. Postal Service with 23 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother L. Henry Brown. Surviving is his wife of 54 years Mrs. Margaret C. Brown , a daughter Laura Hanes, two sons Edward Brown and Wesley Brown and wife Martee, a granddaughter Larkin Plemmons and husband Chris, a great granddaughter Cheyenne Plemmons, four sisters Cordie Bodenheimer, Collice Cranford, Elizabeth Attwood and husband Albert and Ima Misenheimer, two brothers William J. Brown and Randall Brown and wife Pat. A graveside service will be conducted 10:00 AM Tuesday June 2, 2009 at Westlawn Memorial Gardens in Clemmons with Rev. Craig Atwood officiating, with Masonic Burial Rites by Forsyth Lodge # 707. The Brown family will receive friends from 7 to 9 PM tonight at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home on Silas Creek Parkway.
