Raymond Donald 'Pete' Alberty March 6, 1938-March 16, 2012 Mr. Raymond Donald 'Pete' Alberty, 74, of Mocksville passed away Friday, March 16, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born March 6, 1938 in Essex Co., NJ to Roland William and Mary Elizabeth Bell Alberty. Mr. Alberty was a member of Harvest Baptist Fellowship and served in the United States Marines. He was co-owner of R&R Plumbing for 30 years. Pete loved Trap shooting, was an avid motorcycle rider but mostly he loved his family. Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother, Doug Alberty. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Mary Lou Alberty; three awesome kids, Rocky Alberty and wife Susie, Sandy Melton and husband David and Debbie Hedrick and husband Matt; five grandchildren, Brandon Hedrick and wife Nicole, Taylor Hedrick, Grayson Alberty, Savannah Alberty and Cody Melton; a special canine buddy, Scooter; a former business partner and special friend of 50 years, Bobby Bornstein and a family friend Diane Chiasson. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 18, 2012 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Will Pryor, Rev. Bob McCaskill and Rev. Jerry Webb officiating.
