He graduated from Griffith High School class of 1948 and proudly served as a Corporal in the United States Army while stationed in North Korea during the Korean War (February 19, 1951 to November 18, 1952). He retired from AT&T on December 16, 1985 after 36 years of dedicated service.
He was a member of Hebron United Church of Christ, The Scottish Rite of Free Masonry, Shriners International, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Dolores; their beloved daughter, Karen; and brother, Clarence White. He is survived by his daughter, Sharon Rae Fletcher; son in law, Mark; cherished grandchildren, Anna Rae, Adam, and Alex; sister, Mary Miller (Louis); brother, David White (Mary Lou); and a host of family and friends.
Bill enjoyed NASCAR, fishing, music (especially Loretta Lynn), watching old westerns, and having a good laugh. He will be greatly missed until we reunite with him again in Heaven.
