HAHN RURAL HALL - Mr. Ray Norman Hahn passed away Friday, May 27, 2011 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born August 16, 1938 in Forsyth County to the late Helen Sheek Hahn and William Carl Hahn. Mr. Hahn retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company with 23 years of service. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Mr. Hahn was an outgoing, unique and caring man who loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hahn was preceded in death by a brother, Roland Hahn. Surviving are his devoted wife of 40 years, Hazel Dowell Hahn; daughter, Melanie Hahn Huffman and husband, Ricky; son, Darrell Ray Hahn; two grandchildren, Landon and Camden Huffman; and two brothers, Robert Hahn and wife, Betty of Winston-Salem and Ralph Hahn and wife, Rhonda of Bristol, VA A Funeral Service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 30 at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with the Rev. Danny Poindexter officiating. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Kenneth Gallup and Christie Bonnett, the entire ICU Unit and Eighth Floor West Pulmonary Unit at Forsyth Medical Center. You all will always hold a special place in our hearts.
