Ray Bedsaul

Mr. Ray Odell Bedsaul, age 77 of Clemmons passed away Sunday, May 9, 2021 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.  He was born October 17, 1943 in Forsyth County to the late Cebert Odell Bedsaul and Sallie Everhart Bedsaul.  Ray was retired from Beltone Hearing Centers in Winston-Salem, a family business he started almost 60 years ago that his daughters have operated since his retirement.  He is preceded in death by his wife and high school sweetheart, Judy Ann Bedsaul.  Surviving are two daughters; Trina Bedsaul (Ben McKinney) and Mindy Majorel and two grandchildren; Rebecca and Max Majorel.   Ray spent almost 60 years of his life helping the hearing impaired community.  He has helped hundreds of patients and their families be able to hear and communicate.  He served for many years on the NC Hearing Aid Dealers and Fitters Board, both as an appointee by the Governor and as the Executive Secretary.  He was a mentor, teacher, and worked to improve competency examinations for those in the hearing aid industry.  Ray was an avid hunter and fisherman when he had time.  He loved time spent at the coast on his boat.  He loved time spent with his family, at the coast, or anywhere.  Ray never met a stranger and could talk to anyone about anything.  And anyone who knew him knows how much he loved starting projects, but not necessarily finishing them!  A private entombment will be held at a later date at Westlawn Gardens of Memory in Clemmons.  Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
